Re: JOE KENNEY Benefit item: Daylite Ramsey Custom Painted "Striper Pole"

Don't be so sure of that Pete...l have an unconfirmed bid of $500.00 on the table right now....not sure I can say who it's from, but let's not let that stop any of you from continuing to bid!

Awesome feedback guys! I do believe it has been shortened by 2". I've been looking around for the email D sent me when he shipped this, but cannot seem to find it. Ah well...all the more reason to have him hop online and answer any questions you guys have.

To give you a feel for what poor Joe is dealing with - $500.00 will get him exactly one day of rehab. Then agian, it's one more day closer to recovery, so every bit helps.

    Keep bidding!

Actually, the individual with the current high bid emailed me direct. It's a valid bid though - I've known him for years.

Craig - not sure if the pole can be converted to an SX-R...I'll try to reach Daylte and see if I can get this info and then post it.

    Thanks for your interest all!

It looks like a stock SJ pole. Yes, it can be fitted to a SXR. Contact Blowsion for a conversion kit (it should be nearly identical to the SXR/UMI conversion kit).

And Daylight... Fuggin amazing. I've become a fan over the past few years, and your artwork is just amazing.

If you like this Josh, just wait until you see what he's done to my SX-R...he kidnapped it when we were at the HydroTurf Surf Slam in October and it's getting a whole new look.

Inspired by one of the characters in the animated movie "Surf's Up"....think about what this Moraii tribal markings inspired scheme would look like if you turned it on it's side (white side down)...he's doing my helmet too!

    so...kinda like this....

The coolest part for me was when I realized that one of my biggest sponsor's logo (Liquid Militia) is a very similar looking wave which will integrate really well into the design.

If any of you are looking to get your ski painted, get in touch with Daylite - he does sick work at very reasonable prices.

It's a stock round nose pole that was shortend about 1 1/2 inches. It was cut off right at the collar. I reinstalled it with aluminum plates epoxyed to the inside of the fiberglass to give the rivets something to bite into. About 8 inches of the bottom half of the pole have been thickened up to meet the thickness of the aluminum bit.
