How do I remove seats from Sea Doo boat?

I just got a 2001 seadoo sportster. I suspect the drain holes under the seats are plugged because they are holding water. I was able to pull the seat cushion up in the middle of the boat and found it full of water and leaves. I can't figure out how to get the 3 back seat cushions out. Does anyone know how to get in there?

Seems to me I heard they are held in by screws BELOW the seats. In other words, you have to get into the engine compartment and reach up under the fiberglass that supports the seats. A very nasty job, at least it would be on my Challenger 2000 because the engine sits pretty far forward in the compartment.

    On my FTP site at:

...I have a series of owners, parts, and shop manuals for a lot of the Seadoo jetboats. See if you can find your model in there and the appropriate manual might reveal something.

    Good luck!
