Harmonic balancer puller. Oh, and a spanner wrench to get on the drive coupler.

I went to the dealership and was told that all that I needed was to use an air rachet on the nut in the middle of the flywheel.

What is a spanner wrench? I have a puller.

no need to buy a puller.

take a chunk of steel, cut three slots in it.

Back out the bolt holding on the flywheel about 5 or six turns, thread the threee screws into the flywheel, tighten them evenly against the bolt in the crank, tap on the center with a hammer a few times, itll pop right off. ( it takes a little to make the tool, but once its done, its free an works very well,)

    Re: Flywheel removal, 650sx

dont make the tool. go to an auto store get a universal flywheel puller (10- 15 bucks) take a large rachet w/ breaker bar if needed if you dont have air tools. put a bungie cord in one of the spark plug holes and turn the crank till the piston squeases on the cord. once this is done take your wrench and break the bolt loose, do not remove it. take the puller and thread your three screws into the flywheel through the puller, make sure you dont thread them too far so you dont damage anything. take the center screw and tighten it up on the flywheel bolt, if tightening it doenst break the flywheel loose then give the center bolt a few hits with a hammer. worst case you will have to heat it up, but try the first steps before you do that.
