if its a scoop grate, in MY OPINION, they are all pretty much the same. As for the rideplate I dont know.

    as for "the works"...

... it also happens to make pretty good HCL bombs!

Re: New to stand ups owner: Junk jet ski rebuild...89' 650SX

Just a slight update. I got my dad's map gas/ oxygen set and managed to get about 6-7 studs out with vise grips and about an hour of time. I am going to get some nuts on Thursday and give it another go. One rung off in the head.

Thanks for the comment Corey. So my guestion should be, how well does a scoop grate work? I know nothing about stand ups. Thanks bro

Well the amount of money I need to invest to get this thing running just went up. All the studs came out except for one on the outside and the 4 in the center of the cylinder. They all snapped off. To drill them out it'd take at least 2-3 hours and I'd need to buy some nice bits. I guess I am going to have to just buy a new/used cylinder and head, then have it bored to put in new pistons. If anyone has a cylinder and head that's in good shape let me know. A whole engine would be cool too as long as it's in good working order for not too much money.

haha, yes, that makes it a tad diffucult to obtain doesn't it. Anyways, I am thinking of buying the 1.75mm over stock pistons and getting the cylinder bored to match em. Anybody running the 1.75 over pistons?
