Where to find used floating docks?

    Hey group,

I'm looking for a used floating dock, the EZ-Port 3, and am having a hard time finding any. There are a couple on ebay right now, but all too far away from me. I haven't had any luck on the local Craigs List either. Any other suggestions on where to look for these?

    Thanks much,

I have been looking for one of these for over a year. Expect to pay over $1,000 used on E-bay. In the fall they still run $800.

I have also been looking on Boat Trader. Here is the address:
    http://www.boattraderonline.com/adse...ARTSEARCH=TRUE

In case this link does not work, go to Boattradder.com. Then click on "Engines, trailers, ships store", then click on "Docks and Boat lifts".

I just came from that site. No used E-Z ports today but they do have Sport Ports at a discount.

OK, you'll need a boat, a flashlight, a knife, some rope, and a cloudy night...

    Sorry, I got nothin'.

or check with marinas. i'd put a little sign on the for sale boards (that are found at marinas) saying, "wanted: floating jetski dock." then of course put your contact info. there are so many people with stuff they dont' want or need anymore but don't go through the hassle of posting an ad online or in the newspaper. i know they start at around $1,000 new. i'm sure you can find one for far less then that used.

i have found a lot of used stuff by doing this.

Thanks for the info guys! So, anyone want to make a midnight run with me this weekend? We'll get one for each of us!

I've got tons of marina's around me, so I'll definately go post some ads. Not sure about rental places around me though, but I can check on it. I'd looked at boattrader in the past and didn't see anything, so figured they just weren't advertised there. Glad to hear that they are, I'll keep checking back.

It used to be only death and taxes were inevitable. Now, of course, there’s shipping and handling, too.

Re: Where to find used floating docks?

The only time these appear at reasonable prices are between October and the end of April. I bought mine in early April, as the guy had gone to a boat show in March and bought a boat to replace his ski. He had sold the ski to a friend of his, but the friend didn't have a permanent area to place the jet-t dock. I paid about $500 for it. I've seen them show up on craigslist, but they disappear usually after a day, which shows how much in demand they are...

And if you're looking at one already in the water, be aware that the easiest way to get it out is to float it onto the back of a boat trailer. They *do* take on a little water, and are really freaking heavy and large/unwieldy to begin with.
