PRIMER KIT INSTALL
wHATS UP EVERYONE. I JUST SIGNED UP AND HOPEFULLY YOU GUYS CAN HELP ME OUT AND MAYBE I'LL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU OUT SOMETIMES
I HAVE AN 89 KAWASAKI 650SX. IT HAS A STOCK CARBURATER ON IT WITH A FLAME ARRESTOR. AND I WAS WONDERING WHERE TO HOOK UP THE PRIMER KIT TO THE CARBURATER.
Remove the carb then take out the choke plate and shaft. The primer kit will have a plug and another fitting that has a barbed fitting that fit in place of the choke shaft.
Make sure any pieces of metal that might have fallen down into the carb when removing the screws that hold the choke plate are cleaned out. (This is why I suggest removing the carb first )
I like to insert the T-fitting in the return line to the tank to eliminate any chance of restricting flow to the carb.
I install the plunger in place of the choke knob.
Hope this helps.
