Stickers not Stamped Trailer VIN Numbers

Heres the deal I've got 3 trailer from 3 different manufacturers and I can't find a stamped VIN number on any of them. One of the trailer I can read the vin off the 15 year old sticker but the other 2 I can not. I'm trying to reregister 2 of the trailer without VIN number and am running into problems. I have the plates but the state (LA) has no records of them. I lost the titles and registrations when I lost my house in the hurricane. The state has not been any help. Any ideas? I am kinda thinking about creating VIN numbers about selling them to someone in a a non title state and buying them back. Really getting to be a pain in the a$$.

yup. in CT you can just register them as home made and they give you a new vin and call it good.

in FL, all you have to do is get it weighed (empty) and bring the weight slip to the DMV and tell them its home made..... not that i condone doing that or anything.

check everywhere on the trailer.they should be on it somewhere.if not app for home built and then have someone weld the numbers on.a good idea to stamp them in a not so obvious place incase of theft.

I've looked everywhere on them for the vin. Does anyone have vin numbers stamped on theirs? A homemade trailer needs to be inspected in LA and receipts for materials must be shown. Think I'm going to end up selling the trailer with a bill of sale and let it be someone else problem. Guess I'm going to be looking for a double trailer with title.
