Liability while operating a ski is NOT covered under homeowners.

Now if a tree falls on it in your yard, then that might be covered.

I insure my skis and I am all for mandatory PWC insurance (you have to see how some ppl ride near me) I stay away from everyone when riding, and I have seen many close calls!

Your right in a way, you need to add to HO coverage and pay a premium. It's an add-on. It's not automatic, own home; have HO policy then you are covered. Not.

    Thanks for your reply.

Re: New Jersey Riders - Pending Legislation

Anything new with the insurance plan in NJ? I am on the NJ DMV's website trying to figure out how to register a jet ski that the previous owner has not given me a registration for and I read that you must insure all vehicles registered in NJ. I just registered a ski about 2 weeks ago, and usually if that was the case, they would make you provide proof of insurance at the time of registration, but that did not happen. I guess they did not pass the mandatory insurance yet, but does anyone have any other information regarding this issue??

Our state just doesnt an will never get it.people are leaving not only because everything is so expensive but because everything is so over regulated an people cant afford to do business here.I know if they make it a law to register quads or skis I will leave this state, trailer my skis to Ny or Delaware or wherever Im welcome an vote w my wallet.I have a few quads a a few skis I just couldnt afford to have all these things insured.Thats another travesty an boondoggle in itself if ya ask me Biiiggg scam.

You insurance experts are smokin De pipe!!!

FYI, Once you put a registration sticker on your PWC it is not in any way covered by your home owners policy. It is a registered vehicle and must have it's own poilcy. If it is stolen from your yard or in your garage when the house burns to the ground you are NOT covered !!!!!!!!!!!!
