    STX Sponsons, thread sealer?

Easy one for y'all: what thread sealer should I use to reattach my sponsons? Would Permatex Blue adequately seal? I took them off to polish the hull. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't put any thread locker on hull inserts. Those are blind holes and won't leak into the interior so kurt reinstall them.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

There was some kind of sealer/locker from the factory. No doubt about it looking at the threads. And it makes sense especially in saltwater. There is no lock washer. And it is below the waterline. So it has to be locked and sealed. A local shop recommended Blue Locktite on the tip with marine silicone farther out to seal. So that's what I did.

Well worth the effort to remove the sponsons to polish the hull, by the way.
