    Re: 2017 Kawasaki SX-R

My 2004 stock SXR weighed in at 385 lbs on the freight scale at my work. It had the battery, tool kit, and 1/4 tank of gas.

    Re: Best Racing Event Ever

The battle between Sheldon and Jacobs at the 1989 Chicago round is one I'll never forget. I'd love to see a video of that one. Victor got the win, but the passing back and forth was incredible.

  4. Re: Jacque Bryant Seriously Injured-- Needs PRAYERS!!

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I attended many of his region 6 races in the 90's, and he set the bar very high with the professionalism and fairness that he brought to the races. He truly cared...

Unfortunately Bob Morgan passed away a month or two ago. He will be missed as well as his awesome ride plates.

Re: In memory of Bob Morgan...

So sorry to hear that. I have Shredmaster rideplates on both my SXR's and love them. Bob was very cool to me on the phone when I bought those.
  9. Re: We've seend the Jacobs Skis ... where are Fischetti's and Sheldon's?

I worked at Butch's back in '92 and at the time they had one of Victor's old race boats minus the motor and pump for sale for $1500. It was one from the '89 season with the number 56 on it. I...

Re: Glen helen motocross who's your pick?

Either Stewart or Villo. Probably Villopoto now that Stewart tweaked his knee in NJ. Tomac could be a dark horse. Remember how fast he was outdoors last year?

    Re: 2010 SXR 800 rebuild

The factory pipe will make a huge difference compared with the stock exhaust. Make sure you re-jet the carbs and you might as well switch to aftermarket air filters since you have to re-jet anyway.

Re: Riding in the 1980s-90s...how was it?

I raced a lot of region 6 races between '88 and '99. For conservative estimate I'd say that I averaged about 12 races a year during that period. Most years there was a race every weekend from May...

3rd generation is coming in 2014 I believe.

My 2003 TRD has 147,000 miles and still going strong. I've got my sights set on maybe a 2015 or 2016.
  15. Re: A salute to the Old Dudes that still ride Jet Skis!

I can't believe I didn't see this thread before! I used to race a lot from 1988 thru 1999, averaging about 12-14 races a year during that period. My back went south on me in 2000 and didn't do much...
