    Are you putting this in a boat? The Thailand guys run float carbs in the Long tail boats using Kawasaki PWC engines.

    You can run float carbs, just don't tip the ski over or turn hard ;)

    I think the verdict is just buy a new one. You're going to have to re-build a used one anyway. The 44s on Yamaha/Sea-Doos are known to have different internals(from what I've read).

    Not true, you can use an open cone. Check out the long tail river boats in Thailand. They're using Kawi motors with nothing but a half pipe.

    I would stick with OEM bearings and seals.
