    Re: Intermittent spark Issues...I think

The 717 has a very long crank and inherent vibration issues. I commonly find bad front crank bearings on a high hour engine. Pull the stator cover, pop the flywheel off, and look for "witness" marks...

Re: impeller rebuild goof opinions needed

Dude, I've bought used pumps off ebay with clearances less than .010". At .025" is where the service is needed!! Are you sure the housing isn't wiped out?
  4. Re: From ZERO to 46 MPH in 11 Months - My X2 Project

Not common to do any case work without doing cylinders too. That is just barely tunnel ported, there is a lot more material that can still be safely removed. The Kawi castings are in fact terribly...

Re: Hard to find or maybe rare PWC's

There are several of these floating around in the forums.....
    The Werks Marine "Fazer"
I believe these were made from about '87-90.
They used a Cuyuna engine, and I think a Brut jet pump

Re: Hard to find or maybe rare PWC's

Apparently in 2001-02, Aquajet made the "Jetbike".
Don't confuse this with the "Wetbike"......different manufacturer.
The Jetbike has a 1250cc 4 stroke powerplant.
    Don't know how many were...

1995 Seadoo XP800 or XP Limited.
For those that don't know, there were 2500 of these made.
Similar to the '96 XP, but with a hump seat, extended pump, no mirrors, etc

    The 2005 Polaris Matrix....200hp!

That would make one of these very rare, cause they never got built............or did they?

Hard to find or maybe rare PWC's

That is the 500cc. None of the rest have that 1" thick rear plate that goes up to the exhaust chamber.
  19. Re: How can I tell what motor is in my Waverunner

Should be a tag right on the motor by the carb. Or just post a pic and we'll tell you.

  34. Re: Does Yamaha (>2016) have the equivalent to the seadoo carbon seal and wear ring?

Yes, talking about any bearings and seals in the jet pump or on the driveshaft support system.
  35. Re: Does Yamaha (>2016) have the equivalent to the seadoo carbon seal and wear ring?

The Yamahe machines are very reliable.
No, they don't have a similar carbon ring/ bellows arrangement that can sink your ski.
I'm not fond of the Seadoo closed loop cooling setup on the engine....
