Re: 2004 Honda Aquatrax R-12X Turbo

Very nice! I love that color. I had a red one years ago, always wished it was the silver / black instead though. :-)
  2. Re: Do you have this problem with your Trailer?

I've got a Triton trailer which comes with their sealed lights. I've replaced one in 5 years... and my dealer told me that even that is unusual to have one fail. I'm not sure what type of lights...

    Re: Pistons: old vs. new

Yeah I wouldn't mess with new pistons either unless they were in some way damaged.
  4. Re: lost one of my plugs where to get a new one?

x2 to the above... if you don't take on water... don't take them out unless you store the ski uncovered outside.

    Re: GP1300R w/ reverse?

You probably could adapt the XL reverse system, but I really don't think it's worth it. I'd just focus on getting your "no reverse" skills down and not worrying about it. I never missed rerverse...

Yes, you can do it, might be slightly tippy at idle, however it really sucks in chop.

Also make sure you install waveeater clips while you're at it on both of them. Will save you $$$ down the road.

Remember that your total fuel delivery is determined by the low speed jets combined with the high speed jets. I don't know exactly what the issue is in yours, but I still suspect that there is...

    Re: XL 1200 Bad Compression

I thought the 99 was the first year for the PV motors?

Edit: Just re-read... op has a 1998, not 1999. My bad. In that case the ski should NOT load up and it's NOT normal...

    Re: XL 1200 Bad Compression

These engines load up BAD at idle, and will run like crap for a little bit if you nail it from a stop. It's normal. If it's hot out, etc... my experience going full thorttle from a stop was usually...

    Ehh...

    I'd say:

A - Normal, nothing to worry about

B - I'm not really sure... maybe look near the bearing housing there on the driveshaft.

C - Just because it's "brand new" it's still sat...

  43. Re: 2003 GP1300R Siezed Rear Cylindar
