Re: Yamaha Wave Blaster 2 1996

The injection system itself is bullet proof. The weak link is the oil lines. As they age they harden and shrink. That's when it gets ugly. If regular maintenance is done and you replace the lines...

Andres, manual was sent to gmail. Let me know you got it and it opens ok.
It's a fair sized folder so it may take bit of time to download. If it doesn't open I'll copy to CD and mail to you.

    Re: 1996 Wave Venture Impeller?

If your still on original impeller at 17/20 the 13/17 solas should be good for low end. Mine really lived up my old vxr's. Didn't add much to top end but made it a lot more playful.

    Re: 1996 Wave Venture Impeller?

sorry, last night turned hectic on me.
based on the charts, your original impeller should be a 17/20 pitch. Solas recomends the concord YB-CD 13/17I for a stock motor. skat trak recomends the...

Re: Reliable 760 Motor in GP800-R Hull?

A 760 in that hull would not be much to ride as it would be severely under powered. Now an 1100 or the non power valve 1200 would be better choice. I have 2, 800r's and personally I find them quite...

    Re: Should I buy a 2000 Yamaha GP800

Re: GP800R will not stay running

Re: GP800R will not stay running

    Re: GP800R oil pump failure

  32. Re: Bought a clean 2002 Yamaha XLT800 and have a few general questions?

  33. Re: Bought a clean 2002 Yamaha XLT800 and have a few general questions?

  34. Re: Bought a clean 2002 Yamaha XLT800 and have a few general questions?

Unfortunately on the 800 you'll have to remove the exhaust manifold and first section up to the rubber coupling to get to the valve...

Sounds like a good deal to me.
As for oil, that's a bit of a loaded question. Many opinions. The yamalube is good but pricy, I use Amsoil interceptor oil in my gp800r, as it's designed for power...

  42. Re: 98 XL 760 Help Needed Please Engine Won't Rev

the First thing I would do is a compression test on it to see if your loosing a cyl or cyl's. I don't think that its a rev limiter or temp issue.
