    Re: bent connecting rod

I agree that the breaker bar might not be the right tool, but it was handy. The rod bent so easily that the bar left no marks.

Hack job? Probably but success is marked with failures. I did notice...

    Re: Sunk

leave it on the trailer when you back it into the water. gives you a stable platform to stand on while checking for hull leaks. make sure you're deep enough for the pump to suck water or you'll melt...

    bent connecting rod

The title explains itself, but here's the question. A big pin 750 with a slightly bent conn rod. I know the proper way is a new crank, but it took little effort to straighten it. Straight edge,...

Re: Hi there and Thank you

When running with a hose, or on the water, does water come out of the weep in the hull. How did you decide it has a cooling problem?

    Re: kawasaki 750 carb problem

For anyone that might learn some thing here. Pop off isn't the best, oil injector missing it's plug, poor connection to the stator plug. Found and fixed, but not the problem. Darn carpenter bees got...
  10. Re: 650 to 750 conversion help with flywheel and stator

I know there's a correct way to do things, but I have done this 2 ways. Drilling and threading is the easy part as the stator holes can be used as a template. I did that first then used a small...

to begin closing this thread. Switched out with a known good carb. Doesn't run any better so carb isn't the problem. In the process it turned out the plug in the oil injector is missing. Looking for...

    Re: kawasaki 750 carb problem

I bypassed the fuel pump by removing the regulator chamber. Carefully pry off the fuel screen, and remove the 2 o rings. Hose from the pop off tester can be slipped over the fuel inlet. Definitely...

    Re: kawasaki 750 carb problem

I did the reading on how to test pop off pressure, and some things are not clear. Testing gets done directly into the fuel inlet fitting, and not through the pump. Makes sense except the keihin cdk...

    kawasaki carb question

    Re: Trailer Bunks

I tried pvc. As long as the hull is moving it slides nice, but if it stops then the tubing "sticks" to the hull. A heavy hull is hard to get going again. Black poly leaves streaks on the hull....

    Re: Columbia River Ride

Double check before you go. Oregon has a short list of rivers where a pwc is allowed. You can take a monster jet boat most anywhere, but not a nasty jetski. Go figure.

  33. Re: 02 polaris virage (newbie questions)

Re: Kawasaki engine in a Seadoo GTS

  41. Re: 1995 Seadoo GTX, what impeller should I use?

  43. Re: Foreign plastic ring/loop stuck around impeller

  44. Re: Foreign plastic ring/loop stuck around impeller

What exactly causes this to happen? I've seen this on relatively recent rebuilds and not at all on pumps with lots of hours on.
