Re: 1993 Seadoo SPX no start

Have you tried to jump the solenoid? If it starts then your solenoid is probably bad. Also make sure the battery poles' screws are tight. I was towed home this summer because "it can't be that, I...

Usually the trim works for like 30 seconds when you push the start button without a key.

VTS systems on these skis are a common problem. I'd start by checking if the motor works (disconnect from...

  7. Re: Noob help...is replacing fuel lines worth doing for my situation?

Are the fuel lines gray? Yes- you should replace them.

What do you mean by "catch"? Do you mean it cranks but doesn't start? What do you do when it doesn't start to make it start? ie. apply choke,...

    Re: I got a free 1995 SPX

You should take it out, split the case and inspect the crank and bearings. Half the work is done.

Before buying the top end kit you linked, you should determine if your cylinders needs resizing.

  11. Re: 1993/1994 SeaDoo GTX Engine Replacement; Special Tools, Timing, and Compatibility

I don't know about the alignment tools, but there shouldn't be any problems with the dual carbs setup. The wire controls both of them at the same time.

The oil injection pump is usually reliable....

Check your intake grate and the pump, maybe it sucked something.. otherwise it sounds like the engine seized.

Simple system, you need a couple feet of wires, 2x relays, ideally a fuse holder and a little waterproof box to put everything in it. Get two 5-pins relays (1 N.C.+1 N.O.)

  20. Re: One cylinder at 0 compression, other at 135, what happened?

  21. Re: One cylinder at 0 compression, other at 135, what happened?

  22. Re: One cylinder at 0 compression, other at 135, what happened?

Top end time for sure. You'll probably have to tear it apart to know what caused the problem.

It's the model number of your ski.

    A 5854 model means it's a '94 XP, so it has a 657X engine. A 5662 model means it's a '97 XP, so it has 787 engine.

Here is a mega specs list of all SeaDoo...
