  1. Re: Lots of cheap Yamaha parts for sale - SE Wisconsin

    I have none.
  2. Re: 1990 JET-N-CATS Yamaha JetBoat by Hot Cats

The stock aluminum 650LX impeller is crap when new, but I'm not familiar with the skat 15Y. For the 133mm, I thought skat made a 15/18, 16/19 and 17/20??? And maybe a 14/17? I thought most Jammer...
  3. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

Personally, when it comes to buoys, I'd much rather ride a properly built SN than the 96-07 RN. If you think about it, the first mod many did to their 96 RN (back when it first came out) was to...
  4. Re: Lots of cheap Yamaha parts for sale - SE Wisconsin

    Re: Yamah 155mm Pump Stator

    Me too :)
    What are they worth nowadays?
Been sitting on one from a B2 I parted out probably 10 or 12 years ago.
  6. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

Been a while since I ran this Rend plate on any of my SJs, so I figured I'd give it a shot here.

  7. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

This was a silly way to spend time, when I have spare plastic OEM steering nozzles, but I really want to at least try this aluminum shark nozzle. Had to make some custom bushings and a brass block to...
  8. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

I built this one back in the days when I loved SNs, lol, but now I don't so much :)

Re: Rock You Like A Hurricane..........Apex

Got all my stuff for adding trim gathered.
Not sure yet what I'm doing this winter, pump-wise.
Either installing the thrust afterburner stuffer and big hub Skat impeller I've got in my stash, or...
  10. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

A few pictures showing the tubbie install from 15 years ago... fender washers, machine screws, and nylock nuts. These aren't going anywhere, lol, mostly cuz I don't use wood screws to build jet skis...
  11. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

    Little bit of progress...
Removed everything for the drop nozzle setup and sorted out what I need to do to make it a trim nozzle for my Apex.
Capped off both ends of the thru tube for the drop...
  12. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

Not 100% sure what I'm doing yet, other than I want to pull the drop nozzle to convert and use as a flip nozzle on my Apex, and I basically want to leave this 91 as another one of my avgas rec...
  13. Re: Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

    Basic set up has been:
    714cc full 61x motor.
Cases were ported by Art at jetworks.
Cylinder is my DZR#001 ported 61x = copied directly off a Riva ported cylinder in 1994.
    33cc domes in an ADA...
  14. Fall 2022 Squarenose Super Jet Update Project

This is my old Open Vintage race SN.
Starting a thread to document what I'm doing with it now, so I can remember, if I decide to keep it, lol, or so I have all the details in one place when I decide...
  15. Re: Addendum to the Mikuni SBN Tuning Manual

Shown here are the spark plugs from my Apex this year after burning 88 gallons of 40:1 100LL avgas with Klotz Skicraft - 62T motor is 205/208 psi. The lead will cause a bit more brownish red color...

    This project is essentially done.

Re: FX1 starting issue, no crank

Leaving the lanyard DISCONNECTED is what ruins the start/stop switches, because it leaves the tiny spring inside the post switch compressed, and kills that spring. The only time your lanyard should...
  20. Re: The 08 SJ "not actually a raffle ski" Build Thread

  22. Re: Adding a 4th Cylinder to your 2-Stroke Triple is Easy

    Re: 1997 Waveraider Question

When you tried running it on the hose, what did you do first?
    A) Turn on the water, or
    B) Start the motor?

  26. Re: Adding a 4th Cylinder to your 2-Stroke Triple is Easy

With the gaskets, I'm assuming it's either an availability or just a "this is they way he always did it" kind of issue, or a combo of the two.

Some guys just like making their own stuff, even when...

  28. Re: Adding a 4th Cylinder to your 2-Stroke Triple is Easy

    No doubt.
My 99 DR650E was more stable on the freeway than the KH500 was, and the DR had way better brakes.
  29. Re: Adding a 4th Cylinder to your 2-Stroke Triple is Easy

Re: 08 SJ mini project thread - Fall 2022

The answer is simple = cobbling, lol. I'm not...
