    The teeth don't look compromised to me, just deformed a little bit. I believe I would file off the high spots and see if the noise disappears. I can clearly see a high spot (shiny) on that center...

    They ALL have a little fuel vapor smell when you first open one up. There is a difference between that and the smell of raw fuel leaking.

    If it's on an inner bearing.....the whole crank is ready for an overhaul. If it's an end bearing, you can buy a bearing splitter and DIY, I've done it several times.

    Well, not always.......after you ruin a piece or 2 of sandpaper by clogging it up with all the tacky residue it starts to sand out ok, LOL!

    MAKE SURE EVERYTHING is sanded well. Absolutely no shiny spots left. Use an epoxy primer. You can buy a true 2k in a spray can now. You can buy the better materials from an auto body supply house....

    Most of these triples are only around 7:1 ratio.

    They'll blow around 115psi on a compression gauge.

    The specs I have in my notes are...175 main and 70 pilot. low screw 1.25 turns high screw 1.5 turns. Should run fine right there.
