    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

Here's a couple pics with pole bracket and gas cap in place to really get an idea of what it will look like overall.

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

WHEW!! All this sanding by hand! Got the hood sanded down, found a couple low spots right off the bat. Will fill those and maybe primer the hood tomorrow.

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

I'm finally happy with the nose and overall symmetry of the shape. And I got that left side wave straightened out too. I THINK I'm finally ready for high build (2k) primer.

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

Allright guys, I know this doesn't look much different AND most/all of it won't be seen anyway, but all the pole repair/reinforcement is hidden and smoothed over. I'll go over the inside of the pole...

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

Thanks bud......my arms are jelly. Over 6 hours total sanding today, finally got it shaped up and smoothed out and got primer on it. Then nitpicked all the tiny spots I missed, and addressed the low...

    Thanks!

Taking a break.....been at it today for the last 2.5 hours. Final shaping is almost complete. It's about 60* today, hopefully I can finish this up and get some primer on it. Then it will...

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

I went back and added more filler to block sand out the ripples down the left side. Also worked over the nose at least 3 times today. I made a shaper so I could get that gas fill area symmetrical on...

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

Got a few more hours in today. I'm at the point it's just repetitive......apply filler, rough sand, block sand, vacuum, repeat. I do my rough in when the filler is still soft with some 80 grit. It...

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

I know.......the hood has this nice long downward curve, then a straight flat line out to the nose........at a different angle! I mean, how did nobody say anything about that pre-production?

With that taken care of I block sanded the whole nose and added filler to some areas that were low. I also block sanded the glass repairs on the pole and added 'Pro-Glass' as a first step to blending...

    Re: SLow Superjet SN rebuild.

Had some time this afternoon to work on the SN again. I just didn't like the way the body lines on the nose were at a different angle than the hood. I taped up a guideline and sanded a curve into it...

Re: 1995 Sea Doo XP Gauge Question

It just has the 4 LEDs for warnings and the LCD is just a bar graph fuel gauge. It won't show anything if the sending unit has a burnt F1 fuse on the board.

Check a local bike or small engine repair shop. Maybe they'd just check it for you for $20 if you ran it by.......I would.
  19. Re: Is getting a 750 small pin flywheel weight reduction worth it?

Re: 2001 Seadoo GTX DI question

I don't see anything about fuel filters or fuel pressure test. The DI needs 107psi to run, if they drop to about 100 they won't build any RPM. After you saying you can let it sit for a while then it...
  22. Re: Jetski Plus; has anyone bought parts from them?

I order from them all the time.....for several years now. Great customer service too. I've used a couple of their VENOM brand 550 starters. I could swear it's a copy of the old HD Goki unit.

I've got a bunch more springs yet to go. Maybe a couple more of the 115g will be unusually high. I'll let you know.
  25. Re: Mikuni popoff, spring color, gram rating, etc.

Sorry Bill, highest so far has been that 137g. I didn't take a note of the compressed length. I set the lever arm height to level with the carb body. Then, I stuck the end of my caliper in for the...

  27. Mikuni popoff, spring color, gram rating, etc.

I'm pretty bad about NOT paying attention to seat size and gram rating of the lever arm springs on the Mikuni SBN carbs. I just know around how many psi I want a certain combo to POPOFF. If it's a...

  30. Re: What brand gaskets are you using on your Kawi 550 engine builds?

I always use the WSM full kits with crank seals.....never had any real issues.
  31. Re: F1 code on Ultra 310r, checked with scan tool and no codes

The computer sees the position of the throttle and assumes a certain speed. Apparently your speed did not agree with the position. Look for debris in the speedometer paddle wheel or a broken 'paddle'.
  32. Re: Is it ok to use gasket sealer on head gaskets?

For starters, you should true up the head and cylinder surfaces. You can use wet sandpaper taped down to a countertop, piece of glass, whatever......just something dead flat. Or use an India stone.

Re: 2001 Seadoo GTX DI question

So after it runs a bit under load the voltage is probably dropping way out. JetskiplusLLC has a cheap voltage regulator. Might as well try it and see what happens.

Re: 2001 Seadoo GTX DI question

Put a volt meter on the battery and run it on the hose for a bit. Then rev it up a little at a time 3500rpm...4500rpm...5500rpm......watch what the voltage does and report back.

Well, I don't think a single 28 will feed a 701 or larger. A single 38mm will though. I still have the stock 28mm carb on my 650sx and it will run a tick over 43mph! And goes ALL DAY on a tank of...
