    For the oginial poster, bad head temp sensors are allways grounded out causing a continious beep. Replace the sender.

    Is the rear coil box dry inside with no corroded connectors ? When you flood a hull like he did, water enters the coil box.

    A 1 minute test to see if voltage increases will tell you how good or bad that "used" regulator is. My guess is it is not any good.

    Motors do not get rod or piston knocks by sitting overnite, even if they have water inside of them. Are you sure it is the motor and not the driveline making the noises ? Pull the pump and driveshaft...

    '98 GTX's only have one type stator.
    First check the fuses on the mpem, if they are good, refer to a service manual that has the proper testing proceedures for your model stator.

    Yes, they are junk. Get a good piston and try again. There is no common problem that would cause this and nothing but a liitle exhaust pressure pushing on the piston.

    For whatever reason, it sounds like you sucked air into the clyinder. I'm guessing it is the pto clyinder and you left the rave valve pulse line off at the case or the line is split open ?

    This is the sign of leaking N&S's. Before you tear back into the carbs, pressure test them to 15 psi and see if they hold the pressure for a few minutes.

    Unbolt the engine end of the ground cable from the battery and inspect the cable. You are looking for corrosion near the end of the cable.

    If it really is sparking with each rotation of the crank and it has gasoline in the chambers, it should start up or at least try to start up. You need to recheck to see if both 'plugs are sparking....

    Connects to a bolt with a 17mm head on it. It is under the motor right behind where the starter motor goes. If you cannot put it there, use any 10mm bolt on the motor that you can access.

    I have never had a Sea Doo stator get hot and quit. Coils do that though. So does a blocked air inlet vent to the gas tank and an engine compartment full of exhaust gasses.

    It is very important to pressure test the fully assembled carbureators to see if the N&S lever arm is holding the needle valves cracked open. If so, rejetting or adjusting will be impossible.
