    Re: Skat track 5 vs 6.5

    5 = 15*
    6.5= 16.5*

    6.5 will be too much load for your set up.

    Your theory typically is correct about adding speed and losing bottom end in most situations.

    With your set up changing to a...

    Re: A few 550/550sx bits and bobs

    750 sx plate works great, unless you have a js pole on your sx. It does move you forward like mentioned above. Also, a sxi pro plate will give a "quicksteer" affect, but triming of the pole is...

    Re: 1999 SXi Pro full tear down

    Remove the driveshaft and bearing housing. The pros have an aluminum drive shaft "tunnel" and sometime they will corrode and lead to leaks. Post a pic once the bearing housing is removed if you can.

    Re: 93 750 SS/xi engine removal?

    Remove the Blue header pipe and then the enormous exhaust system. If everything is disconnected from the engine that is still bolted to the hull, there shouldn't be any issues at all.

    Re: 99 750 sxi pro project issues

  24. Re: b1 kaw1100 any one done a reasonable sounding one

    No not chris. It's a local machinist that was a engine builder with R&RJettech back in the 90s. I have another buddy that might have a set up. I'll text the number you pm'd me.
  25. Re: b1 kaw1100 any one done a reasonable sounding one

    Only tolerable one I ever heard was kawi 1100 hx with coffman pipe and modified hx box. Still runs 65mph.

    Maybe add 2 or 3 bungs and dump all the water into the water box after the baffle?

  26. Re: Question about Cylinder stamp/ head stamp?

    Correct. The cylinder head stamp will only affect final compression # depending on what stamp cylinder you use it on.
  27. Re: Question about Cylinder stamp/ head stamp?

    562128

    Here's some info
  28. Re: Question about Cylinder stamp/ head stamp?

    No, the cylinder stamp relates to the piston used for assembly purposes at the assembly plant. The cylinder head stamp relates the dome volume size and the specific model year the engine was produced.

    Re: Sxi pro fuel pickup

    Looks broken to me. Each pick up pulls out with 2 orings on the end. I was able to use a sxr "on" pick up to replace mine. The sxr " reserve" pick up was too long.

  31. Re: DBP ported 6m6 cylinder R&D girdled head

    Those cylinders run VERY well! Dallas Baker Products ("DBP"aka Pro-tec). What's the bore size and can you post a pic of the exhaust port?

    I use their Premium 2. Not as pricey, low ash so it doesn't leave behind residue to clean off the hull. TCW3 certified

    Wow. 49mph before porting? Any idea of what rpm that was at? Who ported the engine and did they provide a new target max rpm?

    I've tried both the solas 13/18 and skat 13/16. Both got me to 45mph...

    Re: 750 max rpms of only 5600

    Had similar issue, but would hit a wall at 4k rpm. Turned out to be missed matched header gasket. Water leaking directly into exhaust stream at the manifold/header surface.

    Re: Looking at newer 2 stroke models

    Gp1200 and 1200r are 2 completely different power plants. Gp1200 more playful fun hull. 1200r capable of faster top speed. 1200 should do roughly 59-60. Have one new from 97 love it.
