    It is obviously drawing way more amps than designed, hence the smoking cables. Could be bad starter, could be the motor, or pump. Did not read the entire thread, but can you turn the motor by hand...

    Yes! You can visually see the extra length of the X2 nozzle. The bore on these are huge, something like 85, 86mm.

    Many have run the wet pipe. Dry pipe you have to cut a hole in the top deck under the steering tower to accommodate the manifold and pipe. You can make a 60mph ski with a wet pipe...dry pipe not...

    NO, you are going to damage the key or worse. Remove the crank from the case, and do as Newmiller said.

    If your high and low screws exceed two turns JET UP one size, and retest. Most carb tuning specs do not exceed 1.5 turns out.

    Impact wrench and they usually pop right off. Don't get crazy and strip out the threads. Some are a little tougher and require some controlled tapping with a hammer, especially if it is the original...
