  2. Re: Possible first pwc (1996 Yamaha Wave Blaster 2)

This^^ Waveblasters are great skis, cheap and easy to fix and upgrade and much more fun then the newer $8k+ skis. Also do not post any links in the future. Someone else probably saw the link above...

Re: Why no yamaha twin pipes?

Looks like Bill has the answer from the Wax's thread. Factory and R&D must have made the twin 800 pipes just for looks and bloodying knuckles. :P

Re: Why no yamaha twin pipes?

As much racing R&D that went into the SJ in the 90's I figured there must be a specific reason why they never made them.

Guy on FB has twin FMF pipes on his SJ and says it runs well. Be...

That seems really slow for an 850.. What impeller are you running? my 701 single 46 61x SN with all of the mods and 9/15 hooker does 49mph.

Have you checked your pop off with a gauge? I am not too keen on kawa jetting but my yamaha 771 with all bolt ons and porting with factory mod pipe I run 130 Pilot 120M 24PSI pop off.
  15. Re: Factory pipes for Blaster might become available again! Make your voice heard!

Which chamber? Mod or limited? Hopefully mod as you can use it in x2, blaster, standups etc. If it is limited pipe it will only work for the blaster without serious modification...

    Why no yamaha twin pipes?

Kawa has twin pipes for everything from the 550 to the 800. But why where twin pipes never done on a Yamaha 650 or 701 engine?

    Re: About Racing CDIs

I think you read that thread wrong. Most people run a 2-3 degree advance at the stator on the theory that the msd retards the timing in the upper rpm range.

Get a SBN 38mm carb for it. Drill out all of the brass fittings from the pump to the engine to the exhaust etc so that more water can flow and keep it cool.
