    Re: Custom garage stand/beach cart

I always thought it would be great to build a shop stand out of a shopping cart.

Unfortunately, now that I've seen one, I think they look pretty bad. Might be functional, though...

Don, is that 18 years on the same, unmolested engine? I have 17 yrs on my 2000 SLX, never opened the engine once. I'm not running Supertech, however.
  7. Poll: Re: Gas OCTANE? What do YOU use? JS440's and JS550's

NZ and AU use the RON method for rating octane, while the US uses R+M/2.

This is because Hyosung can't do higher math. So your 98 is our 93.

Thank Hyosung when you see him...
  8. Poll: Re: Gas OCTANE? What do YOU use? JS440's and JS550's

This isn't necessarily true. Pre-ignition will kill an engine in seconds. Detonation, the source of pinging, while not ideal, can go on for thousands of miles.

Here's a great article on the...

    Cheap Trailers?

I picked up a super-cheap GSX Limited (Thanks Bryan!), intending to use it to repower a different ski. That deal fell thru, now I need to flip the GSX.

  11. Water leak at wire packing nut, '99 GSX Limited

Picked up a '99 GSX Limited (Thanks Bryan!).

Ran on hose, and also backed in at...

No, it's so much more than that! If he moved his finger (I hope that's his finger) a bit more out of the way, you'd see it has not one but TWO storage compartments; room for TWO meaty footlongs!

I came up with 900 lbs dry for those 3 skis.

Agreed on the Pulse Engine Tachometer, but you don't want the 2000 or 2100, you want the 2500. It's waterproof, the 2100 is not. Both are pretty hard to find, though; I had heard that the company's...

Doesn't the 750sx already have a wedge? Part number 92026-3708, shown in the '92 and 93 parts fiche (and all the way thru to 2002 I believe). My '93 has one.

    Re: JETMATE owners thread ...

You say it's hitting the "stop". What exactly do you mean? There is a damper on the top of the reverse bucket, part number 92160. If that's hitting the nozzle, that's as high as you can go.

    Re: picked up a 2nd 95 sl750 for $600US

    Re: picked up a 2nd 95 sl750 for $600US

Bad news. That damage on the top of the piston and head is symptomatic of debris damage. Likely your crank bearings are coming apart from someone leaving water in the bottom end in the past. ...

I think you may be overthinking this. Or maybe you're confusing rpm's with piston speed?

    Multiply 70mm stroke by...
