    Re: Riding

Yes he rebuilt my carbs on my old 760. Ran GREAT! Was hoping to fix mine with some advice in person really. Maybe someone from SBT could hear it while out playing at the beach?

Anyone from SBT going to be at Dunedin Causeway on Saturday? I can't get my ski into your shop during your business hours, but am fighting strange possible misfire issue.

Yeah when we go to Dunedin we try for 9:00-10am...and even then it's packed. Especially now that Howard park is $5 for the day per vehicle.

    Re: gp760 bogs out

My gp760 did that same thing! I had carbs rebuilt (also had primer kit), but didn't run premix. Seemed to fix the problem though. I have since sold it and gone FI with my GP1300 though.

One of the sleeves is cracked. I figured I would just replace them.

How do I do that, by the way?

    Re: 98 GP760 - Busted Piston

I'm hoping those seals are included in the kit I ordered. It said top and bottom end gasket & seal kit - $105
So I'm sure that would include them. Never messed with 2-stroke carbs...anything...

Hmmm...ok. Makes sense. What would cause detonation in these things? Lean? Or something else?

    Re: 98 GP760 - Busted Piston

I don't think it ran lean though. It had something inside the cylinder...metal...and I think that caused the piston damage. It's not melted...it's broken/wore down. Picture doesn't show it well.

    98 GP760 - Busted Piston

Ok, so I just picked up my 98 GP760 a few weeks ago really cheap. I figured I would rebuild it in the off-season. Well, it didn't last that long. Saturday I noticed it wouldn't go over 40mph on flat...

    Re: lets see your rig

It's an automatic. I have the hitch on order. It has the 1.8L 140bhp/128ft lb 4-cyl in it. I probably won't be going longer than like 10 miles 1 way...most of the time it wil lbe like 3-5 miles.
