  1. Re: Bunch of random rare kawi parts for sale x2

Got the parts but no pricing.
  2. Re: Kawasaki 750 x2 exhaust options and opinions

Between the 2 pipes posted in the pics and you own the pj's, I'd run that. You have 2 stinger sections to try and with the 750, I'd definitely go with the longer stinger.

    Re: 9/16 t0 10/16 upgrade on jetmate

Hooker has a 10/16 for the 650 pump or you could just bend your 9/15 up to a 10/16 with a pitch gauge

Re: 550sx Factory Pipe half pipe

Mariner made factory pipes for a while. Same pipe different same. I've seen superjet bpipes with mariner name but still the same pipe. PJS even made one like that.

This is the "reed" specific pipe. Notice the curve just before the stinger. Nothing wrong with the pipe you have for sale itll run great on a reed engine. It's just not the "reed" specific...

    Re: 650sx exhaust tune baseline

You can run the engine for a few minutes in the stand. It won't hurt anything as it has no load. Let it idle for 30 or so seconds before you blip the throttle. Just touch the side of the cylinder...

Re: Factory pipe water screw settings

I always put a restrictor of some sort, usually a piece of 1/4 od fuel line in the pisser line just after the tee on the control valve to keep back pressure on it so it will open. The restrictor also...

  13. Re: Hydroturf 26mm underpaid experience?

26mm pad is nice and cushy to stand on. Definitely put a piece of regular turf over it. I recommend the molded diamond as it holds up the best. You can also glue multiple layers, sand it down to...

Re: My 96 SJ has 61x engine swap question

if you want to go dual carb, just find a set of matching 62t cases and manifold with carbs and swap everything over. also allows you to refresh the engine, clean everything up, and reseal it.

  17. Re: factory pipe oversize screws not closing fully

  18. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

Do you have a tank vent? Definitely need a tank vent as you can have fuel delivery issues without one or one that's not working properly. Should let air in but not out
  19. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

Try it and see. Only one way to find out. 20psi is right on the ballpark.
  20. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

2.5 n/s with 80g spring is around 14psi popoff. That's really low which makes your jetting richer. If you dont have a 2.0 n/s, try a 115g spring. Should be stiffest and has extra ring on top and...
  21. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

You dont want to decrease the water flow to the headpipe, just to the stinger. What carb settings are you running in the last video?
  22. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

How do you have your water routing setup? I run a dedicated cooling line to the bottom of the headpipe from the pump to better control the pipe temps and it also puts more pressure on the injector...
  23. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

I always use a thin layer of assembly goo on all gaskets so if I have to remove something, the gasket wont tear. Since you have the open filter style arrestor, try the 2.0 n/s and a black 80g spring.
  24. Re: 1992 750sx 44 SBN mikuni jetting with factory pipe

What flame arrestor are you running? I'm running a 750 sp in a x2 with a fpp pipe as well. I'm running a 2.0 n/s with a 95g spring. Measures 25psi. If you change the popoff it's also a good idea to...

  26. Re: '91 550 SX Fuel Tank Pressure/ flooding after sitting?

the check valve only lets air in, not out. if you have a bad oring on your seat of the n/s that could allow fuel to leak past. have you checked the popoff as well? also, after riding when you put it...

Re: 650sx best mods for low end

  31. Re: Forgive me ... but dual cooling off the head from a single inlet ...

If the water is moving too fast through the engine, it may not properly pick up enough heat from the engine. One inlet in and 2 going out seems useless to me as 1 line can only move so much water so...
  32. Re: Forgive me ... but dual cooling off the head from a single inlet ...

If you only have one line going in, you should have one line coming out. That rear fitting on the head should be capped off. Everything else looks fine. If you have 2 lines feeding the exhaust...

    Re: dual cooling questions 550sx
