    SXR - Dry vs Wet Pipe

    I'm thinking of replacing my SXR Dry Pipe with the Wet Pipe to smooth out the power curve and also to improve on the bottom end for free-ride.

    Will this make a noticeable difference? I've tried...

    It's strange though, gasket is brand new and bolts are torqued to 30NM as specified.

    Just finished the install and ran the ski with the flush kit, water is leaking out of the manifold near one of the bolts.

    Any ideas?

    Exhaust fumes coming out of pisser?

    Is it normal for exhaust fumes to come out of the pisser when running the motor dry? Blaster 1 with new factory mod pipe.....

    Fitty-Pee, yoiu never gonna believe this! Worm drive was pressing against the manifold, not the hull...How stupid am I?!?! Now I have to get the fiber glass out!

    Please can you expand on the difference the shims would make? I assume that any change to their thickness would affect alignment?

    As for the clamp and barb I'm sure they aren't the problem.

    It was rebuilt just before I got it and runs perfect so I'm sure that the coupler's lined up right...I'm lost....

    Yup, I'm following the instructions word for word so am trying to instll the head pipe on it's own. I ground the hull away today as much as I possibly could and the thing still won't fit. See...

    Yes, the head pipe with the 3 bolts going into the manifold. Any ideas?

    As far as jetting goes I'm changing the stock jetting (single carb) to 145 main and 120 pilot per FP recommendation.

    I just got a 2005 sxr with R&D cast head, Factory Dry Pipe etc..etc...I read somewhere that you must not use...
