  2. Re: Kawasaki 750sx rear cylinder running rich front cylinder running leaner

It could, I would replace both of them if they are suspect. You can also pop off the flywheel cover, if there is a little on the bottom, along with residue, the crankseal is definitely an issue.
  3. Re: Kawasaki 750sx rear cylinder running rich front cylinder running leaner

If both carbs have been rebuilt the same, then my suspicion would be its time for crank seal replacement.

Re: Fuel issues (750 sxi pro)

I agree with restosud, that impeller is too steep. If its a standard skat impeller, I would have it re pitched to around 10/18. You will never be able to dial in the carbs with a impeller that is...

    Re: 650sx impeller upgrade?

Stock impeller pitch doesnt matter since it is vastly a different design to anything else, no comparisons can be made. Get the 8/16, its the best option for a stock to mild 650.

    Welcome!

Did you use a genuine rebuild kit for the carb, or aftermarket? When was the last time the crank seals were replaced?

    Re: 650 Pop off issue?

The carb looks like brand new inside. Low speed jet is clear, and cleaned. Low screw is out 1 1/8 I think. Internal filter in the carb is clean.

Could it be that with the less restrictive...

Im having a issue with JS conversion ski which is running a 650 with OEM CDKII carb, and the later 2" stock pipe from a X2. The issue is that the ski runs and idles good with no flame...

Re: 750SX jetting and impeller advice

IMO the impeller is too steep. I am running a concord 12/18 on a lightly ported small pin with factory pipe and dual 40s. I would bring it down to around 11/17.

Re: What to use to repair hull

I usually get some epoxy resin and thicken it with fumed silica, so it has a peanut butter consistency. With that you can just smear it on the bottom of the hull to fill in any dings.

  37. Re: 650sx - TBM Pump Cone “pro” or swap in a different pump?

How does a big hub impeller turn a axial flow pump into a mixed flow? All you are doing is changing the hub diameter, as long as your outer pump walls are cylindrical, its still axial.
  38. Re: 650sx - TBM Pump Cone “pro” or swap in a different pump?

The alternative would be a Skat or Solas pump. It will be better, but will cost many times more than the pump stuffer.

The motor will start to lean out with extended wot runs, and if you are already a tad on the lean side it can soft seize, turn off, then run fine when you start it back up.

    Re: 650sx: impeller recommendations?

I would definitely go with a Skat 8/16. A 9/17 will be too high unless you have a good pipe and/or some porting.
  45. Re: compression issue on new (group k) rebuild

Did they re-machine the head as well? Those numbers are right there in line with a stock head.
