  1. Re: Possibly blown motor in my 92 750 SX. Video inside, looking for some input!

id definitely pull it completely apart and check the crank. also wouldnt hurt to put the head back on and do a leakdown test to see if you had an air leak somewhere that caused a lean condition...
  2. Re: Possibly blown motor in my 92 750 SX. Video inside, looking for some input!

definitely only running on 1 cylinder which explains 1 black plug. also one cylinder being lower compression by any more than 5-10 psi is an issue and worth at least removing the head.

    Re: factory b-pipe superjet jetting?

this all depends really on how you want the power to come on, also how your cooling is routed. the top screw on the headpipe is supposed to be the best for bottom end. many run the bottom open only....

Re: '92 550SX Problems after "Runaway"

You really should check your piston wall and ring clearance before ordering pistons. .008 is max clearance before new bore is needed.
  9. Re: Are all Kawasaki 750 small pin motors the same?

the #20 or unmarked cylinder has the lowest port timing for the best bottom end. the #22 has the same port timing a the 800sxr cylinder which is a good all around cylinder.

  18. Re: Upgrade to dual-cooling or stay with single?

  19. Re: Smokeysevin roll's his own swap adventure (Critical Failure) 1987 JS550 to 750 Bu

It just doesn't have enough volume for the increased engine size of the larger pistons. The length has more to do with what rpms the engine will make power. Longer chamber will lower the rpm range...

What engine are you running? Adjusting dual carbs is no different than a single other than you have 2 instead of one.
  21. Re: Smokeysevin roll's his own swap adventure (Critical Failure) 1987 JS550 to 750 Bu

Looks like it's coming together! Nice score on the pipe. Itll be a decent increase over the stocker. I'll also say that absolutely no 650 pipe will allow the larger 750 to run to it's full potential....

  28. Re: Factory pipe header bore size, how big?

  29. Re: Factory pipe header bore size, how big?

kawis are different. the manifolds have the water jacket open at the mounting flange and once you start opening it up, that gasket sealing surface gets quite small.
  30. Re: Factory pipe header bore size, how big?

boring the opening on the exhaust manifold will net little to any increase in power especially if youre running stock porting. 46-48mm is about as large as you can go with a factory pipe on a kawi....
