9/15 is Skat numbers. You cannot compare brands by number. Blade design, blade over lap, hub design ect all make a difference in how an impeller loads the pump. Not to mention the two do not measure...

With the Oil filter removed, and by cranking the engine over while holding the throttle wide open, you can suck more oil out of the oil filter canister. Keep cranking/sucking until no more oil comes.

You are correct, and this is why it is important to tune properly to match your mods done. You cannot just make changes without tuning. Sounds like you were lean, and also did not run the correct...

Yes, you are fine with this combo. Unless you have high compression (more than 175) it is not a problem with premium pump gas.

I do 8 psi. You do not need more than that. Too much, and you will just blow out the seals.

I seal up around all tubes, (Cooling and steering), and the exhaust also as none are sealed from the factory to the bulkhead. water can and will get in here.

Don't forget - You Need to clearance the base gasket as well to match.

DO a leak down test on the engine. I am sure your crank seals are leaking wand will need to be replaced. (Will give you a lean condition)

While the engine is out, seal up the hull....
There is 2 large holes in the bulk head, originally covered with a sticker. Tray foam is exposed here, and can soak water. I use JB weld (Stick) putty...

Yes, we chamfer the ports. I leave ring end gap to the engine assembler.

Polaris had a temp sensor, in the cooling rail on top of the heads. Should be a brass fitting with tan wire.
