    What color is your 74?

I just picked up a rare blue 1974 last week. All original.
But I really think I'll redo the gelcoat & graphics back to original.
It's got some cracks and chips in the...

I found another one at the World Finals in Lake Havasu. It belonged to Eric Burton (most of you know Eric) and prior to that Cliff Jones (Jetco).

It's a connector for telephone wires. It's filled it with die electric grease to keep moisture out.
  14. Re: Who makes the best intake grate for an SXR??

I tried the Worx. It doesn't stay hooked up as well as a Skat or R&D.

    Re: Wednesday riding

    Who's riding tomorrow?
Anybody checked out 8.0 this week?
Even if 8.0 is soft at least we can all launch & the water isn't skanky like GW.
Also, GW has only a couple of launching spots.
  18. Re: Lake Mead going gown drasticly this time will there be any water?

The population of CA is up 50% over the last 30 years but CA hasn't built any new dams since 1979.
Perhaps if they had done that they would have additional supply for drought periods.

    Re: Kawasaki Production Numbers:

All Kawasaki jet ski's from 1974 were mass produced using a fiberglass injection mould process.
Only the 1973 ski's, of which around 500 were made, were hand laid fiberglass.

Re: best year 1100 for sxr?

Get the STX1100 produced in 1996/1997.
You'll get the right length drive shaft and carbs (unless your going to put on Mikuni or Novi carbs).

Re: SXR 1100 triple pic's , and mod's build thread

Lose the 145mm pump. Borrow someones 140 or 142.
The 145 gives great acceleration but you lose top speed.
Most guys running 145's have stroked or heavily modified motors.
