Runaway, sounds like an air leak
-
I would just buy a used oem

If you are looking down the carb while throttleing it while attempting to start it, do you see the fuel spraying in the neck of the carb?
-
Oh, did I mention all plastic and the nut didn't fit the threads so he duct taped the threads to make it big enough to fit.
-
Not ski related but a forum that can appreciate this. I got a vw trike project and this.... A toilet supply line. Was the petxock for the fuel tank.561784

The large threaded hole is the pisser
-
I would make sure your battery is fully charged, seems to me I read the charging systems have a hard time keeping the agm batteries fully charged. That maybe just the older skis but never a bad idea...
-
Think I'll stick with my Sharks, gives other people something to hate haha
-
Still reasonable? Around here561411

Trim motor for 94 Daytona?
-
The lack of copious amounts of duct tape at this point is a little disappointing.
-
The springs are necessary. They do apply pressure to the screws, otherwise the screws start "self adjusting" due to vibration. The socket with the screwdriver tip may work, I wouldn't glue it to the...
-
If you drained all the fuel it does take a bit to get the fuel primed but an air leak in the fuel system can have you chasing gremlins. If you can spray some wd40 around the primer while it's running...
-
Did you have it running on the hose or rynning it with no water?
-
The last Mikuni kit I got only had 1 in it, guess they figure people aren't changing them without an obvious issue
-
Not sure if I misread or just missed it, did you set your pop off pressure or just use the old spring?
-
Definitely cool! I get stares on the old sharks I ride, can't imagine running 1 of those around
-
Just an fyi update they will not interchange.

Does anyone know if a carb off a 1993 640 will bolt on to a 1994 640 Barracuda? The carbs look identical from what I can see but without a physical side by side hate to buy thecarb. Thanks
-
Have you checked for leaks around carb? Base of the carb gasket to intake area... I know you've probably checked it but, sometimes I get wrapped up in the possible problems and overlook the basics
-
Looks ok to me, the synthetic in my Harley looks the same at oil change and no chance of water in there. The synthetic seems to just look a little off after it's used.

How do the plugs look? Black and sooty is rich

I take a look from time to time to see where the topic goes & I smell coffee when I pee. Do I drink too much coffee?

Is there anything better than wood heat on a cold day?
-
Tigershark Daytona, something cheap to consider. Simple to ride and stable for beginners.
-
Rat terrier, fearless little sh#$s and smart. Next?
-
That seat is coming up for sale on ebay, opening bids?
-
Seems the standards change every few years

Thanks for all the info guys, looks like I'm going to get the 2 skis and another double trailer, guy has to get the paperwork together. Hope to have them home tomorrow.
-
Will do, if I end up dragging these two home (my wife will be so proud) I'll try to figure out how to post some pics
-
Sounds like something I need for sure, unfortunately probably not in my price range. I like the cheap ones, feels like good bang for the buck and if I sink 'em I can just swim away and unload another...
-
Thanks for that, looks like they are just the 640 Tigersharks(not the Daytona) I knew they didn't look like oir 94 Daytona but, they are really different than the Barracuda too. I'm gonna check them...
-
Do any of the resident experts know the models that were available for 1993? Were they all 640s? I haven't had any luck tracking down info on the 93s and a guy has a couple for sale with a double...
-
So the advice of the article, to the guy who loves his Tiger is don't buy a Tigershark? I got two, glad I bought them, for all their little goofy differences than the other brands. I like the Sharks!
-
If it has good compression and won't start with fuel in the carbs time to check the spark. An inline spark tester is cheap and I have used mine a ton since getting into pwc.
-
What does "gets wild" mean? Revs to the moon, sputters and pops, or drinks black label and insults the inlaws?
-
I'm sure most everyone here knows more about this than me but, my 1994 tigersharks have temp sensors that put them into limp mode. Don't know about the SeaDoo.
