    Re: Westcoast vs pjs pipes

PJS has a larger chamber, 5" compared to the Westcoast 4.5", but the Westcoast has a thicker coupler. They both are a tight squeeze. I recommend cutting off the lord mount on your exhaust manifold to...

    Re: Westcoast vs pjs pipes

+1 on noticeable increase in power and acceleration. Both can provide same max speed with setup, but the PJS will always get you there quicker.
  3. Re: I need help somthing crazy happened today with my x2

Now that I look again, are you running the stock twin carb air box without the top? You're probably getting water in there
  4. Re: I need help somthing crazy happened today with my x2

Water on spark plugs is either a head gasket leak or you have water spraying into your carb from somewhere. Possibly the flush kit it leaking. Start the ski on the trailer in the water. Leave ski...

    Re: 750 exhaust port timing

Yes the later model #29 cylinder not listed was the common 750 big pin in kawi models in the late 90s. These were the Teal in color, twin carb engines. The timing is comparable to the 3724 cylinder,...

  9. Re: 93 Kawasaki x2 big pin 750 bogs when giving throttle

Backfiring is typically cause by the timing at the flywheel. Pull the stator cover and make sure the flywheel is dead center on the key way without damage.

    Re: Hooker 10/16

Great follow up results! This goes to show that the 10/16 isn't the fix all screw. Impros is good at repairing and customizing impellers, but they are not engine or ski builders.

    + 1 on...

315 has come a long way. He builds some respectable 100+mph big go fast boats. He's not the same guy that built that fixed steer 650 sx way back when.

Re: X2 750 swap bilge pump question

Every X-2 has 3 through hull fittings on the bulkhead (firewall). Some have 1/2" fitting for the stock bilge outlet and some have 3/8" fitting depending on year of the hull. That being said, you can...

Re: Kawasaki x2 total loss wiring help

Looks like you're running a 650. You can mount the stator at the stock location (lining up the marks) or rotate it counter clockwise to advance the timing.

    1mm typically = 1* of timing.

    What's...

Re: big pin electrical.. zxi vs ssxi

No zxi is not better than ssxi, and vice versa. The only 750 electrics that were better than other 750s were Sxi Pro and XiR.

    Re: Hooker 10/16 prop?

Definitely sounds like you have nice powerful motor. I believe the rip turn was 87mm inner diameter resuction nozzle. With even more meat to bore it larger.

Confirm that when you can and give Dave...

    Re: Hooker 10/16 prop?

Jokes a side. I would try the stock x-2 nozzle at 83mm and check speed and rpm and see if you like the characteristics. Then do as Johnny suggested with 1" spacer and smaller nozzles from other kawi...

    Re: Hooker 10/16 prop?

Ok. That pipe will definitely make some power on your motor. I'm assuming you have a #22 small pin cylinder with the 7900 peak rpm.

Stupid question, but is there ANY slippage when you accelerate?...

    Re: Hooker 10/16 prop?

Front # is the leading edge / rear # is the trailing edge in degrees.

Your on the right track thinking a 10/18 hooker would be better, but this won't get you down 500 rpm and up 5 mph.

    Re: Hooker 10/16 prop?

Isn't the rip turn nozzle 87mm bore? Switch back to stock x2. I agree with playing with nozzle sizes to fine tune peak speed and rpm.

This will reduce some of the bottom end pull, but give you...

    Re: New to modding, pipe?

Just to add. The stock sxr impeller is a 13/18 "swirl" type, so a 10/18 wouldn't be too much. I belive they recommended the Hooker 10/16 since that is their brand impeller. But hey, it might work...

Re: 750 twin carb x2 prop issues?

Definitely stock. Looks like the silicone seal around pump housing is sub par. New screw and good seal around the pump and it'll feel like a whole new ski. What impeller did you choose?
  43. Re: 2011 SXR 800 reduced water and hotter temps coming out of pisser (bypass)

You ran water from the pump side with a garden hose? Was the hose on full blast? The pump only yields about 40psi at full throttle.
  44. Re: Struggling to get newly rebuilt 47 Mikuni (GRS) carb dialed in

Stock sxi pro impeller is a 9/17 standard, not a swirl. Just to clarify.
