What type of grease should I use on the new crank case seals? The double seal end had grease packed between the seals. What grease is recommended?

    Helpful, thank you.
  7. Re: Flywheel Need to be Removed to Split Crankcase? 750sx

Ok. Was trying to follow Newmiller's advice -- just didn't know which piece was the "rear crank web".

Is it correct to put the portion of the crank circled in blue into the vise? (see photo)

Re: 750 kawasaki drive coupler removal

How do you hold the engine from moving while leaning on the breaker bar? Right now I have a large wrench on the flywheel side and the coupler remover on the other side. However, when I lean hard on...

  11. Re: Flywheel Need to be Removed to Split Crankcase? 750sx

What happens if I removed the flywheel prior to removing the coupler? Do I need to reassemble and start over?

  13. Re: Flywheel Need to be Removed to Split Crankcase? 750sx

I'm trying to get the flywheel off now. Have the coupler tool locking down the coupler (with a steel tube hitting against the garage floor so it doesn't move). Also have the flywheel removal tool...
  14. Re: Flywheel Need to be Removed to Split Crankcase? 750sx

Yes, this is the original flywheel and never removed — original owner and engine never opened. I’ll be careful with the threads. I don’t think the crank seals are bad, but following the advice of...

    Thanks, just ordered one.
  16. Re: Flywheel Need to be Removed to Split Crankcase? 750sx

First time doing this. Have a manual, trying to figure it out. Not sure how to remove the flywheel; hence why asking.
  17. Flywheel Need to be Removed to Split Crankcase? 750sx

Does the flywheel need to be removed to split the crankcase? Only trying to replace the crank seals. I have a coupler tool and removed the first bolt by the flywheel. Do I need to take out the...

How do I go from a single Keihin 38mm carb to a Mikuni 44mm carb on a Kawasaki 750sx? Is there an adapter or would I need a new intake manifold? Assuming this isn't "plug and play".

  34. 1994 750sx Crankseal Replacement — how important?
