    Re: Newb 650sx

I used the vertical style polaris start stop switches for my 650s, they work great (plus they have an integrated bilge button on top).

Was able to get them pretty cheap on fleabay.
  2. Re: Any purest out there..... check this out

I just love turning hard right and getting a blast of exhaust fumes. It's like smelling salts, wakes you right up! lol
  3. Re: '97 SLTX 1050: factory lines; thumb throttle; oil; stall

I use walmart tcw-3. works fine. Rumblings online that its actually made by Peak with a walmart sticker on it. been using for 15 years without issue.

I have 6 Polaris couches. Never had the bilge fuse blow. I have had the MFD slow blow fuse go a couple times. It is a pain in the ***, but we flood these things regularly and I always found the added...
  5. Re: 94 polaris slt750 water box getting very hot

Are you melting the rubber exhaust hose that leads into the waterbox? or the one that leaves it? If no, your exhaust temps are probably fine.

Did you also pull all your cooling lines to make sure...

    Re: 2001 Polaris Pro 1200

the pump has a little screen in front of the main cooling intake to prevent the lines for seriously clogging - you are sure its clear and you never overheated the motor?

+1, when my head gasket went bad, the top of the piston and the head looked washed clean like that. The pisser was also not consistent, it was spitting, telling me exhaust was getting into the water...

We do all our Polaris rebuilds ourselves - I find the separate heads and jugs quite a bit easier to swap than the alternative. Then again, I don't think I have ever bothered not pulling the motor...

Re: 650sx revs high with no throttle

Only way to diagnose a crank seal is to vacuum test the motor.

When I did the pipe mod to one of my 650s, I originally left the stock 28mm carb on there, but I re-jetted it to compensate for the...

BPR plugs are for Polaris heads which sit higher from the pistons. I doubt they are correct for kawi, as another mentioned you may interfere with the pistons...you want BR, not BPR. I run 7s or 8s in...

    Re: Polaris SL Hull interchangability

I know the 650, 750, and 780 have same mount points - as I have interchanged all 3, from blue motor to blue motor. I cannot say about the 785 motor, as I haven't played with one of those.

  27. Re: 650 sx compression questions, just needing some advive

stock compression is about 150 yes. 175 psi head will give you some more oomph as long as you use 93 octane.
