    Yes, that's the coupler and bolt that needs removed. No start on any 4 stroke......check gas.....check/replace spark plugs.

    Try having somebody help by shoving a rag over the exhaust outlet while you look. That will increase the exhaust backpressure and maybe something will show up.

    The driveshaft goes in through the seals and on toward the engine where the fingered coupler is. That coupler is bolted to the very front of the driveshaft. Should be able to pull the shaft back far...

    If you have the CDCV carbs then there are no adjustments specs available. The screws had plugs hiding them from the factory. If you have the regular (NON CV) carbs....CDK2...then just use the '98...

    I recently replaced a starter on a 2001 GTS for doing this. Tested by pulling plugs out and putting battery wire over to other side of solenoid thus bypassing anything else in the electrical system.

    ANY smoke in the engine compartment will cause those symptoms. Start it at night. Use a flashlight to see where the smoke is coming from. The light beam helps 'amplify' the smoke.

    My stock nozzle measured a bit over 65mm. I threw it up on my mill.......ya,everybody needs one in the shop...and centered it. Then swapped to a boring head and took a cut.
