  1. Re: SXR-800 possible Oil Water Mix in combustion chamber ????

Look at the pisser stream to see if you have a leak. If its steady there is no leak. A small leak will let out a lot of combustion gas but very little water can flow back into the cylinder. Now you...

The 92s also had thinner piston skirts and a CDI without a retard curve or much of a rev limiter. They seemed to have problems worked out by 1994.

    Re: 750 Bp/Sp / 800 electronics

I have used various 750 flywheel and ignition stator cover on 650 and 750 engines and they all worked fine. I have been told that some wheels will have seating depth issues but I cannot personally...
  5. Re: Carb setup for 750BP build. Dual or single?

If you want easy to tune get a single mikuni sbn 44. A single 46 can work okay but they have a tendency to slowly go lean on long full throttle runs. I gave up on bigger singles on anything that got...
  6. Re: 11/14 Pitch for 760 venture is hurting its top speed

Increasing the compression will help the engine spool up and get on the pipe faster. It wont do much for top speed. Be careful because you will need good gas and perfect carb tuning to keep from...
  7. Re: 11/14 Pitch for 760 venture is hurting its top speed

The bottom screws control all the fuel flow at low idle. The top screws are supplements to the main jet so you can fine tune the mixture at full throttle. Many times a loss in throttle response...
  8. Re: 11/14 Pitch for 760 venture is hurting its top speed

The 155 pump will make better low speed thrust over the 144. I would make sure the carb settings are only a little rich of peak rpm. If the engine is running right try bending the impeller for more...
  9. Re: Kawasaki 750 SX: What does this Spring Do?

I had a new 1992 and 1994 750sx and they didnt have that spring. It is possible it was installed to keep something from crushing. There is no picture of the bars but I remember you could get an...

    Re: Lighten stock 750 Flywheel

Re: Question about Cylinder stamp/ head stamp?

The main difference in 780 cylinders is the exhaust port height. You can install any 650-800 head on any 650-800 cylinder. The C and D heads have heavier castings and machined chambers.

Re: 650sx best mods for low end

Re: Question about Cylinder stamp/ head stamp?

I would install a stock big pin head and lighten up the pump load for good response. If you're racing a little more pump load and compression would be needed for best results.

The engine gets its cooling water from the jet pump so there's your answer. The stock impeller is garbage, its made to cavitate while overloading the engine.

    Re: Mikuni TMX triple?

Watercraft engines are soft mounted and shake too much for float style carbs. They would work fine if the engine was mounted solidly.

Re: What happened to this site?

  25. Re: 62T wanting to runaway out of water, is this normal?

The carbs have two mixture adjustment screws each plus one throttle stop. They may be covered depending on year model. Research this and open them up, find help if needed.
  26. Re: 62T wanting to runaway out of water, is this normal?

Tune the idle needles out of the water first, they are the bottom adjusters. Open them until the idle slows down. Look for an air leak only if one carb needs to be opened a lot more than the other.
  27. Re: 62T wanting to runaway out of water, is this normal?

  42. Re: Waterboxes: Do they create noise or performance?

Boat racers got away from long open cones in the 60s. I have seen some variations of "stub" pipes on small engines but they are far too loud. Tuned pipes work great in jetskis because the rpm range...
  43. Re: Waterboxes: Do they create noise or performance?

The stinger needs to create just enough restriction in order for the pipe to work. Otherwise we would be running 4" downstream hoses all the way out.
  44. Re: Waterboxes: Do they create noise or performance?

It depends on your pipe. The most effective tuned pipes need the most back pressure to work, A less effective pipe is more like a muffler with some tuning so total back pressure needs to be less. An...
