  1. Re: Ribbon delete for 2007 FX/HO with MR1 engine

The guys on the jet boat forum talk about the ribbon delete quite often. I'm assuming that the newer 1.8 engines have the ribbon in both the ho and svho versions.
  2. Re: Ribbon delete for 2007 FX/HO with MR1 engine

I have seen pics of a ribbon type metal insert being removed from Yamaha jet boats and skis, but the engine in the pics looks different than the engine on mine. As such, I was wondering the MR1...
  3. Ribbon delete for 2007 FX/HO with MR1 engine

I have been reading about the Ribbon delete. Is this something that is on Yamaha engines newer than the one I have?

    Thanks

Re: ? for former boat owners

I don't wakeboard, but I love the looks of a wakeboard boat. Especially a Malibu Wakesetter. I just cant justify that type of expense for a motorized float, but I sure would love to have one.....)

Re: ? for former boat owners

Wife will ride the big ski if the water is calm. Ideally, she wants our boat to be a water taxi. Find a bay and float all day. I get bored with it and want to ride. Problem is that I dont take boat...

    ? for former boat owners

I find myself not using my boat much anymore and was curious as to how many PWC'ers had boats as well as skis and ended up selling their boats and why.

Will do. I also rested it with the engine cold. I will test again at operating temperature.

If interested, please see earlier post entitled "Bonehead award goes to me" for details.

  13. Re: Bonehead award goes to ME: Please read!!!!!

I am certainly no expert when it comes to PWC's, but this ski is certainly a good one.
  14. Re: Bonehead award goes to ME: Please read!!!!!

Took the ski back out today. No issues noticed so far.......:)
  15. Re: Bonehead award goes to ME: Please read!!!!!

It was still running when I realized what I had done. If there is an engine kill it never activated. I put it back in the water after the motor had cooled down and fired it up on the trailer and it...
  16. Re: Bonehead award goes to ME: Please read!!!!!

The ski had already been docked for a while before loading it on the trailer, and I got it on the trailer fast and shut it down quickly. Maybe that will have helped.
  17. Bonehead award goes to ME: Please read!!!!!

I ride mostly by myself. As such, I have a preset launch and load routine that I follow. Works great. That is, until today......(

After loading the FX/HO ski on the trailer, attaching the bow...

2007 Fx/Ho has a much weaker water spout. There are no obstructions in the pathway and the hose isn't split.I don't feel any noticeable loss if performance and speed, yet the water spout is much...

Re: GP800R unable to rev in the water

When running on the trailer, do you have...
  22. Re: After market Wear Ring - GP800r - which one?

    Kawi options

I am usually a Yamaha guy, but I am looking to add a KAWI to the herd if possible. What models of Kawis would be similar in nature to a 2003 era Yamaha GP1200R, 3 cylinder two stroke?

    Thanks

    GP800R listing at rest

    General ? about priming PWC's

I have a 2003 GP800R that has to be primed (by removing the spark plugs) if not started every few days. From what I read, this is a common issue with PWC's. I have started looking into a primer kit,...
