    Re: ts77r hole in piston

The closest hose, the one i want to use to supply the resonator, comes from the head outflow and goes into the exhaust manifold.
I will definitely add a restrict-or in my new hose to the resonator. ...

    Re: ts77r hole in piston

I believe it is a 98. It is possible the parts inside have been changed out over the years, so it may not be stock.
I does have one water box and just after that there is a resonator. that has a...

    Re: Help water in crankcase

I would guess this is our problem. The gasket between the 2 halves of expansion chamber had failed. Alowing lots of water into the exhaust. A part of this water would end up inside the engine.

    Re: Help water in crankcase

We have started making the exhaust block off plate out of plexiglass. With that on the water jacket can be pressurized.

I have never done a pressure test for air leaks, not sure of the steps.

    Re: Help water in crankcase

I have been thinking about the white guey crap that came out of the motor. It was not clear water mixed with oil.

So i am thinking that you only get this guey stuff if the water and oil are well...

Drove the ski onto the trailer.

I am wondering if the exhaust is cracked. Internally, from not being winterized?

    Re: Help water in crankcase

Yup rust on the crank bearings will be really bad.
    It will not run yet.
I think we should put it on the lawn, flip it upside down. Drain the motor.

    Re: Help water in crankcase

No water in the hull, did not flip. Never ran on a hose.
i think it sat for 3 weeks.

But those are the things that would make sence, with water in both cylinders. I was wondering if the normal...

    Re: Wear ring

    Thanks
So a thin layer of JB weld epoxy on the inside of the pump cylinder would be an option at some point.
It does not seem to be a problem yet, at least not that I can tell.

I does not look like my tigershark has a plastic wear ring like seadoo.
How do I fix this gap between the impeller and cylinder wall?

    Someone must know?

  19. Re: 1995 First Start up and Run after Rebuild

    Sounds good to me. :Banane48:

I have a question. When you were assembling , putting the exhaust on the engine. Did you use any sealant or just the gasket.

I was considering rebuilding it as you said. But I may just do without.

Not really a fan of holes in the hull anyway.
