Re: You cant make this S hit up.

Here's one I did earlier this season. Customer had already "rebuilt" the carbs so something else must be wrong??!!
You can see the impressions where the carb was on the misplaced gasket.

    Re: 1991 650sx setup advice

I've been running mine for years with added 3" and no stinger fitting added. No rejetting that I remember. I'm still running the tiny 28mm carb. Just had to open the screws up a bit.

    Re: 1991 650sx setup advice

I'm 250#s and I ride a 650sx. Mine also had a stock plastic grate! I think my Ocean Pro finned ride plate helped a lot. Also the more you ride you'll figure out how to handle the skis sliding and...

    Re: What grit ball hone?

320 is too fine. And......ball hones are just about worthless. Standard 3 stone hone and hold the drill straight and steady.

Re: Stalling 750 SXI Pro (new purchase)

Pull the pickup. Use tubing to plug the ends. Submerse it in a bucket of water. Use another piece of tubing to blow air into the assembly. Watch for air bubbles coming out of the pickup.

Re: 2002 Gtx DI only 6400 rpm

The Rpm's are right on the money, so speed should be too. Something doesn't add up. Loose pump shoe? Cavitating?

Re: 951 DI keeps blowing air air compressor

Yes, you can pop the plastic drive onto a socket to spin the pump. Spin it ccw and hold the pump arm full open. Should be a fast dripdripdripdrip.

Re: 95 WaveRaider - running bad, smokes a lot

Go pick up an inline spark tester from the auto parts store. Run it and increase rpm while watching the spark. That will tell you if you are misfiring due to an ignition issue or if it's fuel related.
  10. Re: Rave valve tool demensions? Oil in cylinders seadoo 717

It's an older Seadoo.........it's the inner crank seals. Loop the rotary lines, add 1oz stp oil stop leak, then fill the rest with 75w90 gear oil.......problem solved. You can leave the pump and...

Re: Popping Noise From The Exhaust

These 2 strokes make funny popping, burbling noises at various rpm's while riding. It's a combination of the exhaust pulse wave, where you are in the rpm's, how much load is on the engine, and how...

    Re: Gpr1200 in a xl1200

It's do-able but you'll have to swap all electronics, wiring etc. But, you'd have to do that with another hull anyway. I have a good GPR hull here with paperwork.

Re: 951 DI Oil Recycling System

Use it without the baffle. I rebuilt one early this year that the check valve portion had broken off and loged itself down in sump of the oil tank blocking off the oil supply!!

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build

Re: How much driveshaft play is acceptable?

That's perfectly normal, it's a "floating" bearing assembly. The pto on the engine is what holds the shaft steady.

Re: Stalling 750 SXI Pro (new purchase)

I would suspect the pickup assembly sucking air. It's an issue on many older Kawi's.
  20. Re: Kawasaki 750sx rear cylinder running rich front cylinder running leaner

It would mean a bad reed. And it will cause poor running and a very rich mixture.

  22. Re: Kawasaki 750sx rear cylinder running rich front cylinder running leaner

Pull flame arrestor, rev the engine, do you have a reversion fog coming out of the rear carb?

  25. Re: why is a 94 waveraider faster than the newer ones

I worked on a '94 for a customer several years back that had a Riva head and pipe and Skat impeller. That thing was nasty quick and fast too. It was a joy to test ride.

    Yes, this.
  29. Re: Impros Impeller Installation -- Is this a flow cone flange?

They are talking about the flat surface where the cone bolts on. Yours only has 2 bolts.

    Re: Another 640 Tigersaki build
