    comp looks good, pump brgs could be failing, also need to chk the fuel pressure, should be at 43 psi, get a pressure tester from auto rental.

    there's your problem, what caused it to fail is the question, cant tune that out, its why a comp test is done everytime before any repaires are made !

    lean condition from fuel system or leaking...
