I flipped the manual trim body underneath, trimmed off material and set trim rod so I would have maximum rotation on old trim shaft. I used 5mm-.8 tie rod. Attached using 5mm-.8 threaded rod....

So I made up my mind to use the HX box. Performance has to be better than a stock WB using a 701. How do I mount the box besides straps, springs and hydroturf?

I spoke to Skat Trak and was told it is a swirl prop but is too much for a stock 720. This is a Skat Trak 18/23 swirl.

I am doing a 701 swap in my 1986 X2. I plan on making outlet on hull 2" but that leaves the "Factory Pipe 1.75' and stock '86 WBox. I've read about using an HX Wbox. I owned the HX and thought that...

  23. Re: Last 20% of throttle lever does very little but change the sound a bit?

MSD allows for max rpm of 9000. I adj. mine to approx. 7800. Dumb because I'll never get the motor to run with loaded prop above 7400. So now when it looses water as you say it will peak at 7800. It...

    squish on 701

I check my squish and found .038" on mag and .033" on pto. The squish area extends about 7/16" of an area. I've been told .040" or less would lead to a blown motor. If so do I need to cut my domes?...

  30. Re: Last 20% of throttle lever does very little but change the sound a bit?
