Ripped the old stuff out, put down 2 layers of 1708 biaxial in the tray. I couldnt believe how thin the trays are on hydros.

Made a goofy waterbox out of half a raider 1100 box and it took the crackle out. Still super loud but i dont think i will need earplugs any longer.

it runs as a dry pipe now with the cooling band on top of chamber and stinger water injection.
It'll still melt the foam inside the hull but wont carch fire lol. I think its good for another 200 rpm...

I haven't. I finished it as 1am Thursday then left for havasu at 9am, then put 5 gallons thru it and blew out the bearing carrier from pump pressure.

When butt welding aluminum sheets is it best/strongest to tack the sheets 1/16 or so apart then fill the gap with rod? Say at a 90° with 0.120 aluminum?
