Re: 951 I'm sea doo x4 hull or hx

Not sure what your goals are but if your just looking to build a fun and fast ski I hear the 787 is really easy to swap into a HX hull.

    Re: Fox river St. Charles

Well I just got back from the fox today and logged my ride via GPS. 5.5mi indeed!

    Re: Fox river St. Charles

Wow didn't realize stc was that long. How far north do you usually go stage? I'll usually turn around at the second island just shy of Capone's hideout.

Yup I was just at the Elgin launch right...

    Re: Fox river St. Charles

The fox river in St. Charles is my local riding spot. I think it's awesome. It's about a 3 mile stretch and the water is almost always calm. It can get crowded on the weekend though with alot of...

    Re: Midwest PWC club

Another Illinois rider! I'm just a few miles from the river in St. Charles. Most likely gonna buy a permit for the chain this year.

  7. How Would You Explain The Different Types of Chop/Waves You Come Across on The Lake?

So I just bought a new Spark 3UP and my friend is looking to follow suit with a GTI 130. He doesn't really have any PWC experience other than the few previous times I've taken him to the local small...
  8. Re: I am new to PWC's, looking to get in the hobby forbaroubd 1k.

I was in your same shoes 10 years ago. I bought a 94' Yamaha VXR pro for $700 with trailer. It was a little outdated design but it had phenomenal reliability. Even sunk it once and after bailing...

Re: Best (2-Stroke) Hulls For Rough Water

GSX was my original candidate. Is the 951 motors performance worth the extra headaches over the 787? Coming from my lousy 75hp SLT either engine seems like a substantial gain in power

Re: Best (2-Stroke) Hulls For Rough Water

I guess I'm looking to spend 2-3000. What "I think" I want is a larger hull 2 seater, but I'm open to all suggestions. I guess in order of most importance I want something that's decently fast...

Best (2-Stroke) Hulls For Rough Water

So my journey in life with PWC's began in spring of 2006 when I picked up a 94' VXR PRO 701 for $700 and I've been hooked ever since. My second ski was a 94 Polaris SLT750 which I considered to be a...

    Chicago PWC Launches?

I've owned a pwc for almost 3 years but have yet to ride lake Michigan in Chicago. I know that Diversy harbor allows pwc's to launch, but is there anywhere else? Anywhere on the river?

  15. Re: Do you like the handling of your Polaris?

I have a 1994 Yamaha VXR Pro and a 1994 Polaris SLT. The 2 watercrafts are a completely different ride. The VXR has a flat hull and a narrow beam. It loves to slide, which is alot a fun until you...

    94 SL750 Rebuild

Last week I purchased a 94 Sl750 for $200. I did a compression test and got 90psi, 0psi and 105psi. It was clear to me that at least one cylinder was going to be replaced to get it running again....

    Re: 701 waveraider

I am also looking for similar mods for my 94' VXR Pro. It has the same engine except its a single carb. MRD makes a bolt on fuel injector that can add a lot of power but it's pricey.

Re: When did the 4 stroke come out....

Just a little information for you guys. In 1996 the EPA made new emissions rules and demanded that the PWC manufacturers must reduce emissions by 75% by 2006. I wonder how a current gp1300 can meet...

Re: Question on a 94 VXR

Actually we're buying the pwc from a friend of my uncle, so I doubt he's gonna rip us off. He's in his 50's so I'm sure he didn't do any much hard riding or wave jumping. I don't think I'll be able...
