Re: Water Scissor Stand

unless you find an deal on one close its not worth it. PVC works just as well for a water stand and there cheaper. i have never build one of those so i cant help you there. i wanna say jimmy(blasterjett) has a pvc stand

The $150 for stand is crazy, was thinking about building a pvc one but without the folding they take up alot of space in the truck when traveling.

Re: Water Scissor Stand

this is true. if you plan on using it only when you beach the ski. you could just get an anchor bag and have the ski just a few feet of shore? just another idea...

post in the WTB section that your looking for a stand. someone has to have one they wanna sell.

Re: Water Scissor Stand

I use something similar to the PVC stand above. If you are on a beach, it works fantastic. If you're on a rock shore line of say, the Hudson River, it works, but is far from perfect. I think total cost was around $45 for materials, made from 3" pressure PVC. I have a big plastic tote bolted to my trailer and I rachet strap the stand to it.

Re: Water Scissor Stand

I've seen the PVC stands made to fold up when not In use... It looked like they didn't glue the T that joins the two sides together so the could swing and flat.... Don't know how good it works
