Jet ski batteries

Hey guys whats up.

I was just wondering what everyone uses for batteries. Im sick of buying them junk walmart batteries no matter if u buy the good ones for 80 bucks or the cheap ones for 45 they only last a season, if your lucky. Im thinking about just buying some Interstate batteries for the skis this season they rang from 80-130.

What is eveyone on here useing and what are you paying?

thanks for the input,
Chris

Re: Jet ski batteries

ive been using jetworks batteries... their like $80-$90 but they hold a strong charge for a long time even with running total loss.

Re: Jet ski batteries

I have used Odysseys, Jetworks, Westmarine brand sealed and a few others off the internet. They have all lasted from 4 to 5 seasons for me or are still in the skis. Personally I like the toughness of the jetworks attachment points although they are not as user friendly as some of the others.

Re: Jet ski batteries

Montecarlo, Do you pull the batteries and bring them inside durring the freezing months? you need to set them on a trickle charge every few months and peak them. I have 3 walmart batteries for the past few years that I use in my field box for RC planes and also have 2 in jetskis. The key to them is maintainance.

Re: Jet ski batteries

What i do to my batteries is pull them out in the fall. I make sure they have a full charge and put them in a dry warm basment. I have one walmart battery in my hurricane that is 5+ years old still works fine. Now the new style walmart batteries suck. I bought one in june and in Sept. it was dead and my tester said it was bad took it back to walmart and they said they would pro rate it and give me 13 bucks off a new battery.
