The Mudbug Nationals - Morgan City, LA
I just noticed you guys have a Louisiana section here. Very cool!

I wanted to let everyone know that the largest grudge racing/top speed shootout event is held in Morgan City, LA every year, the second weekend of June.

Hope to see many of you there this year.

You don't have to race to come. The speed runs are only 1/4 of the fun. Its mainly just a bunch of people riding and having a good time. This year some nutjob from Morgan City with an RXP motor in a GPR hull had the fastest boat. Then he boiled crawfish for everyone.

Hopefully the nut job (greenhulk) will boil the crawfish first this year. I want to be snacking on them while watching him fly around on that turbocharged monster.

Morgan city is a nice little town right on the water.
Used to be a fishing port, now they don't dock there any more, so it's pretty sleepy. Bayou country fo sho. But I met some of the nicest people there. I did some teaching at a church there about 2 years ago for a few days. Had a great time. I wanna say it was an hour west or so of the New Orleans airport.
