WaveDaze camping question

Can anyone tell me where I can park my trailer close enough to the beach that I can wheel my ski to the beach? I'm assumeing you can not park on the beach like we can in Mexico. I'd like to attend to WaveDaze, but I never been to Virgina beach before.

Thank you

Re: WaveDaze camping question

Hey I live in Va Bch and there is no where that I know of to park a trailer and get your ski to the beach close to the wavedays event. There is free public boat ramp called owls creek (google it) which is on General Booth Blvd right beside the marine science museum. If you launch there it is a short jog through rudees inlet into the ocean. Beware the entire ride out through rudees is a no wake zone. I think just about everyone in attendance will be launching at the owl's creek boat ramp. There is no driving on he beach in Va Bch...hope this helps...happy to answer any questions you my have.

I was told there will be a couple ATV's with beach carts to get stand-ups to the beach but the sit-downs have to use owls creek.

Re: WaveDaze camping question

This is what was posted on the X

"There will be an open parking lot across from the hotel to put trailers in as well as the 2nd st. lot that you will be able to leave them in also. Also, they will fit in the bottom level of the 9th st. garage.

You can drop your ski off in the morning at 2nd st. & Sunrise Cycles will tote them down for you, or you can tote them directly to the zone from across Atlantic Ave. at 8th st., where the moto-surf is centralized."

Sounds like the event is well orginized. I am just getting back into jet skiing after many years off so I have never attended the wavedays event even though I am local. I guess I am used to the ocean front during prime session and parking can be a zoo...not to mention trying to park with a trailer. Just last weekened the ocean front was packed with the neptune festival...hopefully things have died down by this weekend. If anyone gets into a jam owls creek is the best bet to splash your ski.
