Question Pungo Captain George's Open???

A friend of a relative said they drive by the beach at Captain George's in Pungo every weekend and they've seen boats and skis on the beach. I had somebody drive out there on Monday (Memorial Day) and the parking lot is still roped off. Does anyone have any information about whether it is open on the weekends or if there are any plans to have it reopened? If not, if you put in somewhere else will you get kicked off for beaching there? Thank you for any information!!

I was out there today. There were some boats and skis on the beach, but it was pretty lame as far as hanging out goes... But yea, I am pretty sure its not "open", just depends on if the water cops are out there to kick you out or not...

You should come to the "cove" in Chesapeake. We have a great time out there, and it is back "open" to the public...

Capt Georges was sold last year & a new multi million dollar marina is replacing it.
