Ocean Riding near Outer Banks

Greetings,

I am planning a trip to the Outer Banks area for mid-September. Afte reading other threads and making a few phone calls, it seems that there is not much Ocean available to ride on in that area.

Could any make a suggestions as to where I could rent a house and be able to hit some ocean waves in or near the Outer Banks area?

EMERALD ISLE! hamocks beach state[ can only get there by boat. park 3 miles of beach

I stayed in south nags head in late july and i took both of my standups. I used beach dollies and rode there for hours at a time. The local gaurds had a blast watching me ride. The rule states that you cant launch or dock on the beach but, states noting about riding. You have to stay a bit off shore then make your beaching efforts really fast.
